All that she truly is…

I took this photo of the Red Bull ‘Jump a Motorcycle onto a building’ New Years Event in Las Vegas a little over two years ago. 
A little over three years ago I was lucky enough to lean up against a garage wall in Savannah, GA and stare at this beautiful thing I’d somehow found myself engaged to.
A little over three days ago the stunning girl above captured the not-so-stunning, head-on-fire, chemo-ridden, seizure-prone boy below. If only she’d known! (The amazing part is that she did know–I’d already had one surgery!)
Fortunately for me she’s brilliant. but unfortunately for us, her brilliant discovery this week was that the replacement of our furnace last weekend is now blowing out some sort of toxin that is causing ALL of our health issues to totally flare up. Since I could barely move without going into a seizure, my wonder woman hauled me and my stuff to the Holiday Inn across the street.
I caught her off gaurd with this photo just over two days ago.
Just over a day ago, we utilized my Amex Hilton Honors Points to move to Hampton Inn.
With my seizurish activity increasing and ability to function as an independent adult decreasing, my beautiful wife’s workload is tripling or quadupling.
I personally don’t know how she is so strong and manages such a juggling act: slaving away as my caretaker, attitude coach, juicer, cook, medicine coordinator, seizure stopper, enema cleaner upper, driver, baggage handler (I think you get the point). Basically my everything.
And somehow she goes to work five days a week and pretends like things are normal enough to hold down a quality, salaried job with status and plenty of potential.
I have no idea how she does it. Just that I am blessed.
And so I’m asking for one simple thing. Help me tell Logan what she means. Leave a comment below for her. E-mail her, facebook her, just show her somehow, some way, how incredibly much she means and how incredibly amazing all that she truly is.

Logan my dear girl, you are a blessing! You’re the sweet and special daughter of God and He cares for you (along with literally thousands and thousands of people!) I love you, pray for you, and think of you often. May you find the strength, encouragement, joy, and peace that you need through your heavenly Father and through the encouragement of His other children, your brothers and sisters in Christ. You and Daniel are a special couple. 🙂

It’s because your wife is superwoman! The most unfair part is that she can do all that and still be kind, patient, completely selfless and gorgeous. Logan, you need to consider writing a book on superhero powers =)

Logan you are truly a remarkable woman to be able to juggle all that you do and you are an inspiration to many who read these posts. You show unconditional love which is what we all desire and hope for, but fear we may never have. I’ve often thought to myself What if something were to happen to me? Would my husband love me unconditionally or bail? So many people love so shallow that with the first little storm they are out of there. I admire your strength and courage, not to mention your caring and compassion. I agree with the post above…I see Jesus in you and I think thats the best compliment a person could ever ask for. I don’t know Daniel, but I worked with his sister Melissa and I know in my heart he must be just a special! May God Bless you two! Yvonne

Daniel and Logan,when we marry we become has one that’s what Jesus wanted.
Logan loves and appreciates you and aches for your pain and discomfort as you love and appreciates her and ache for her.
God puts the right people together. I love this so I share with you and Logan.

Logan, you are MY hero!!! I’ve always thought that you are a superwoman! I’ve witnessed your persevering spirit. You work hard during the day, and then you take scrupulous care of Daniel in the evening. Jesus is shining through you, not only to Daniel, but to me, to our family, and to everyone who reads Dan’s blog. I love you guys and am praying for you lots!

Dear Logan, I cannot imagine the demands and challenges you and Daniel are facing in your life, but your love, your optimism, your decisions to not only cling to, but give praise and honor to God through it all is an inspiration that cannot be put into words. May God continue to give you the strength and wisdom and peace that you need for each day. And if there are those days when your heart cannot find the words to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for you with “groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8) I am blessed to withness God’s power in your lives through these blogs. Logan – I have failed to tell you what an inspiration you are to me and that I pray for you and Daniel on a regular basis (every time I step in the shower is my cue to remember you both in prayer). I imagine that you don’t realize your own strength because you, no doubt, do what you do without thinking about it. May God continue to bless you both with strength, hope and courage. Logan, you are so amazingly strong. I can’t begin to imagine the battle you and Daniel have faced, but I know God has given you strength, courage and grace to keep you going. I didn’t know you well during our years at GCA, but I could tell you were a kind and caring person. Perhaps you are reading these posts and it IS sinking in, that you ARE something special, and wonderful.
Perhaps as you are reading these things you are discrediting the kind words of admiration because there are days when your thoughts and emotions get the best of your optimism and your mental strength. But believe us, no one could do this role better for Daniel than someone who loves him the way you do. I can only pretend to imagine the challenges that the two of you face. Logan and Daniel, as I read Daniel’s blog I thought, “Logan does what she does out of love – just as Christ did what He did for us – out of love!” My prayer for both of of you is for strength, love, peace and victory over the ongoing health issues that you face Daniel. Daniel and Logan,
I’ll never forget visiting you at Emory before you were married (and engaged, I think) and thinking what a tough journey you both had ahead of you. However, simultaneously I distinctly remember thinking how blessed you both were to have each other’s hearts. The Lord has blessed you both tremendously by bringing you to one another. It’s so cool to think how He paired you up to be each other’s strong holds in such a tough time. I love you both and have a special place in my heart for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Words are inadequate to describe the courage and faith that you have demonstrated so quietly to everyone who has shared in Daniel’s story. It speaks volumes and is a living testimony to the power that God can instill in a young individual whom I’m sure feels she has not the courage nor faith to continue at this pace. I was never fortunate enough to have you in class, but care deeply for you and Daniel. You are both in my prayers. I have been deeply blessed and inspired by your commitment to natural remedies and relentless love for this boy I taught in 8th grade. I see Jesus in you Logan and I can only guess at what you are going through, but I do know for a sure fact that God is so proud of you and has you secure in His arms. He will carry you through. I hope you are remembering to take care of yourself as well.

So, I don’t know either of you, but I think it’s really awesome that you both have a true marriage commitment, not a let’s-go-with-this-until-it’s-no-longer-convenient-for-me kind of marriage. Anyway, Logan, you do sound like an absolutely, incredibly astounding woman of God/dedicated wife. Dear Logan, It is a beautiful thing to have such love, devotion and courage you are exhibiting. Daniel sounds like an incredible young man as well. My prayers are with you both. I too have cared for those I love during a difficult illness. I know in part some of what you may be going through. Even though I have never met you in person Logan, you sound like a tremendous woman amd wife. Love is a beautiful thing, and I see sooooo much love in both of you. You both are experincing true love, sacrifice and faith right along with eachother. Logan I don’t know you and have never met you…I in fact hardly even know Daniel, but I’ve heard a lot of stories through his friends/acquaintances and friends of acquaintances about him, and now you…haha don’t be creeped out, but I’ve been following you guys’ story from afar. You are truly an inspiration and a strong-tower to be reckoned with. I cannot imagine how difficult this is for you and your faith, and I hope I can bring a percentage of a percent of the encouragement that you’ve been to Daniel. Lots of people are praying for you both, and your man is without a doubt a man of faith.
You are beautiful and strong, even if you may not feel it some days…strength reaches beyond feeling; it’s the fact that you get up and do, despite the feelings our doubts that try to hold you back.
I prayed for a legion of angels to help you guys sleep peacefully tonight and smile in the morning. God’s right there with you hun.

Logan, i have been reading all these blogs and i wont lie, i pretty much havent stopped crying. you are an amazing woman. my mind is blown at the amount of work you do, my heart goes out to you. it is so obvious that Daniel loved you so much!!
